Positive affirmations are a great way to help your child feel really good about themselves, to feel confident in their abilities and the person that they are. In general regular use of positive affirmations will help your child to love themselves and life.
What are positive affirmations?
Positive affirmations are statements we say to ourselves and also that we say to other people. Often children here lots of negative affirmations, such as:

Look for positives
As parents we all need to look for the positives in our children. When we focus more on the positives your child will be happy and confident and feel empowered to believe in themselves. Children respond so well to positive affirmations and as a parent you can't give them too many.

Get your child to make up affirmations
Teach your child about using affirmations and see how many they can create for themselves.
Get them to start with "I can..." or "I am..."
